CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

 

Who would have thought as we entered into 2020, that this would be happening right now? I can’t believe that less than 2 weeks ago I was saying to our staff that I thought that we were on the threshold of the best Summer for maybe 5 years. Appraisals and instructions were up dramatically on the previous 2-3 years, as were enquiries and viewings and this was just starting to convert into productive sales and lettings…and then Coronavirus struck.

We had already put plans into place for remote working but now we have fully closed our office and are looking at how we can make the best use of this time - as well as considering how we will move forward from this. Lots of you out there will also be doing the same. As small business owners across the country sit and consider how they get through this, I ask everyone to try and stay calm, to stick to the government guidance, try and get as much support as you can and get this virus kicked into touch as quickly as possible. We need to stick together, phone your friends and family, use this time to study, to learn new skills and develop your existing ones, and most importantly, keep safe.

We are available by email and telephone and we will be continuing to research other ways to help our clients. There will be changes made to our business and we will keep you updated as they happen. A good thing to come out of this is seeing the support we have already received from our existing clients which is so much appreciated. We are also members of The Guild of Property Professionals and I have to say, they have been absolutely amazing with the support they have given to their member agents - we feel very grateful that we are part of such a caring professional community.

Having been in Deal for over 100 years, Bright & Bright have been through 2 world wars, financial crises, political turmoil, stock market crashes and fuel shortages. In these difficult times we are determined to weather the storm and I believe that we shall come out stronger than ever as your local, independent agent providing an honest, reputable, professional and friendly service.
